Internet unlock on iPhone 5s?

My friend just recently gave me her iPhone 5S and she got the phone from Apple and chose Verizon as her carrier there. She was under contract for two years. It is my understanding that all Verizon iPhones like the iPhone five and 5S are GSM unlocked. I have T-Mobile and I popped in their Sim card and I'm currently on the T-Mobile network with the phone. The only problem is is that I'm not getting 4G LTE data that I'm supposed to be getting, I'm only getting edge speeds. I went to T-Mobile and they said my APN settings were the same as theirs. Apple said The phone might need to be "Internet unlocked" to get the LTE, and that it's different than just a regular phone unlock. What does this mean? How do I get it Internet unlocked?

Sounds like t-mobile is telling you the phone is not unlocked, call Verizon.

  • Why does my iPhone still charge for Internet even when I'm not using Internet? So, I recently got a pay monthly plan with my new iPhone 4s. When i'm out and about I'm usually updating my twitter and Facebook account. But, when I'm put my phone down, 3G still says I'm using it and charging me. So do I have to turn it off when i'm finished? Or is there a much easier way?
  • My Iphone is not letting me access the internet or internet based apps? I have an Iphone 5. Never had any issues but now it won't connect to the internet or any apps. It does the same thing it does when I have no service (just has that little circle symbol that means it's trying to get through). Orginally, I thought it must be a universal problem but everyone else has service and they are in the same location as me. Also I always use my phone here with no problems. I have tried turning it off and on again but nothing.

I want the iPhone and my dad doesn't want to pay for the Internet and I have an iPod that ha Internet n I told him just get me the phone and you don't need to put internet on it… Can you please tell me how much the version on is and how much everythig will be if I didn't do the Internet with cost 50 bucks thanks
  • Internet with internet card? I would like to use USB connect threw my iphone but nothing is showing up do I have to have a network card in computer to use USB or have a wired connection
