IOS 6 is killing my battery?

When I updated my iPhone 4S to ioS 6, my battery life drops tremendously within an hour. I've heard rumors it's because the company might be pushing me to upgrade to the new iPhones. Is there any explanation to why my battery dies so fast?

No, and i think you mean ios 7 as 6 came a out a long time ago and isn't available anymore, so assuming you mean 7, its jus the stuff you have on, if you have a lot of notifications enabled, have push email service, stuff like that, and also, the 4s isn't a great phone anymore, you should upgrade, it can't really handle ios 7 as it takes full advantage of the newer stuff, you should get a 5s, they are really good

When will you Iphone fanboys learn… Omfg

Apple makes their software (IOS) to the current NEW iphone hardware for that year… IOS 7 was made for 5s, not 4s… So… What does it do to Iphone 4, 4s, and 5?! Well… Since it wasn't tailored to that hardware, it will CONSUME more system processes… This consumes more cpu… Which then consumes more battery…

the phone hardware is simply trying to keep up with the software… And it will do everything it can to do that… Moreoever, tople that with ANDROID features like notifications, widgets, background processes… You know, gotta win back that crowd that jumped ship after 4s debut and 5… So copy cat android time…

Apple wants to be more like Android… Well… Enjoy IOS 7… Aka Jellybean 4.1 on crack! LMAO!

Upgrades of iOS usually maintain or improve battery life for equivalent feature configuration. If your battery is running down quickly, something else is wrong. Check your apps and see what they are doing, some apps, like Facebook, are famous for chewing through battery life. IOS 7 allows apps to run in the background unless you turn that off, and some apps abuse the privilege.

  • My iPhone Ios 7 is killing me I had to update the ihpone so it would work. Everything seems fine at first until I wanted to buy a song from itunes. You see, I want to buy a song and for some reason when I press download it will not download, it will just suddenly stop and I have to try again. So I find the settings in itunes and app store to get music and apps to be turned on in automatic download… But it switches back to off right away. I'm going to kill this phone seriously! I don't know what to do.

  • Ios 6.0.1 update killing Iphone 4s battery? I updated my Iphone 4s to ios 6.0.1 the other day and the battery life is not good on it anymore, ill take it off of the charger and within an hour the battery life will be at 90%. I made sure to close out allof my apps and everything but nothing seems to be helping. Is anybody else having this issue? And is there a way to fix it? Or is there any possible way to undo this update and go back to ios 6.0?
