IOS 7 on iPhone 5, no iWork

I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased in April 2013. Today (September 18) I updated to iOS 7.

So, Apple said that new iDevices will have iWork for free. (iMovie, iPhoto, Pages, Keynote, Numbers)

So I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and I can't get the apps for free.

I think that the iWork apps are only free for new iOS devices. If you buy a 5s or 5c, then you'll get them for free.

I have a brand new (1 day old) Ipod Touch and just did a fresh install of iOS7. I do not see how to download these apps for free as I did not receive any special prompts and the iWork apps all have the regular price on them in the AppStore.

Has anyone else been able to get the apps for free?

The same thing happened to me, but I realised you have to activate your phone for the FIRST time from september 1st and onwards. I got my iphone 5 in August 2013 so I just missed out. Once you have then activated the option will come up to download the apps. You can try resetting your whole phone but I doubt it will work.

Wait as apple has to update it on app-store, as announced apple will definitely make iWork free.
