Ipas 2 is stuck at recovery mode

Okay, so last night I finally (Yes, I know late) got a ios 7 update and so I went ahead and updated it, my I pad 2 was charging and once I waited 6 hours it said that it need 50% of battery to update so I tried again and it sent me to the "itunes connect" logo, like the one when you first get your ipad or iphone, so I did. When I logged onto iTunes it said it recognized the ipad in recovery mode and that i need to restore it, so I was like okay this is going to be easy. But its NOT.

I then tried to restore my ipad 2 and it said it would delete all my data and set it back to factory settings, now this what I was upset about, I did some research and it said I could back it up or go onto icloud and get all my data back after I restored it but the thing is, i can't back it up because i have no icloud. What I want to know is, Is there anyway I can get my ipad out of recovery mode without restoring it, because if I restore it I lose all of my data and I have some really important things in there that I can't lose! Or if there's any other way I can save my data from my ipad THEN restore it?

P.S - My ipad 2 was at 4% when I tried again (I know. I'm stupid) but, since last time the update took 6 hours I figured if I kept it charging by the time the update was finished it would have more than 50%! So now if I try to rest my ipad 2 by pushing the home buttion and lock button at the same time it dies, and if i charge it while its on the i tunes logo it DOESN'T CHARGE.

Should I just go to the apple store?
