Iphone 3 with jailbreak can't get apps?

I have an Iphone 3g that is jailbroken but when i try to get apps like Facebook and Whatsapp it says my operating system needs to be upgraded. I currently have 4.1 but can't upgrade. Is there any way to get these apps on the Iphone 3G?

The simple answer is… No.
Your phone is old & does not have the ability to process data required for apps like facebook Whatsapp.these apps & their old versions are just not compatible… & even if you somehow were able to load them on your phone. It will run extremely slow & would be just plain frustrating!

BTW… Whatsapp… Is a lousy app. They require you to sign-up & share all your contact info with a company you don't even know. Why in the heck would you jeopardize your privacy like that?

So my Mum just got given an iPhone 4 by her brother, she needs to unlock it to be able to use it with her network but she doesn't want it jailbroken and doesn't won't to have to pay for it… So if I use jailbreak to unlock the device could I then remove Cydia and it would still be unlocked?

If I update my iPhone 4 with the new iOS 6.1.2 update and delete some of my apps, will I be capable of restoring those apps after the update? I don't have enough room for the update right now unless I delete some things off my phone, so if I deleted some of my larger apps, would it work and i be able to get them back?
