Iphone 3gs headphone jack only half works?
Half of the headphone jack on my 3gs randomly stopped working. Its the right side. I tried cleaning it with the q tip and rubbing alcohol but it did nothing. When i push the headphones to the side with significant pressure, the sound works, but its nearly impossible to hold it. The headphones themselves are fine. I wanna wait for the new iphone to come out so is there any way to fix this until then? :/
Only way to fix it is if you chane your head phone jack (not easy)
First, check your Headphone & test to another iphone… If your Headphone works:
1- Flexible teeth slot in your 3mm jack is dented…
2- your Headphone slot hardware uprooted in motherboard.
note- Keep Cleaning or try another headphone
- What is the little hole besides the headphone jack on the iphone 4? Okay i have heard people with att that has an iphone say that if they stick a pin in the hole that a dim card tray will pop out. But my iphone is with sprint so i thought they didn't have sim cards so what will happen if i hit the button. * i'm not trolling this is my first time having anything from apple i'm a android person. * please no smart remarks!
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
- Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
- Iphone headphone jack problem? The case I use for my iPhone pushes against my headphone jack when I plug it in, meaning the headphone jack barely fits in the phone, lately I have been hearing some static from my headphones, could this be from the misalignment of the jack and audio socket caused by the case? I tried multiple pairs of headphones so they are not causing the problem.
