Iphone 3GS not restoring from backup after update?

It shows the the apple logo and progress bar but its stuck on 0% I tried to turn it off by disconnecting it from my computer and holding sleep button and home button and connecting it to my computer and holding the sleep button and home button

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem you are having.

Hold down the top button and the home button for 30 seconds. If/when the screen flashes black let go of the top button and the home button. If the apple logo appears you will be fine.

  • Restoring lost iphone photos after update? Right, basically my dad is a right techno noob and he has not backed up his iphone since january (or so it says). He has recently just installed the new ios6 and after this he has lost all of his photos and is only able to get a back up from that of january. Surely itunes would have backed it up before the update? It doesn't look as though the photos are on the phone at all, but i was wondering if they would have been stored anywhere? any help would be great
  • Restoring iPhone from backup? I got a new iPhone yesterday and there has been some confusion and I lost everything. I backed up my old iPhone in July and I was wondering if I can plugged my new phone to get that backup. I'm just scared because once you plug your phone in it backs up that phone. & I've been using my new iphone and it already has like apps and stuff on it. How can I get the back up data onto my new phone? Does it give me the option when I plug my phone in?

I backed up all my stuff this morning and i have gone to restore from backup and i have done it but the screen on itunes is still there and will not go and none of my music or apps or anything are on my new phone.
