IPhone 4. And 2 year contracts?

My mom's birthday is coming up and we thought that for her birthday we would get her an iPhone 4. We don't know when her next two year upgrade is but I was Wondering if I could get the phone now for the price that i would get it if her upgrade was now, and not hook it up to her number yet, and then when she got her upgrade she could use it? Without the upgrade it's about $500 but with it it's $0.So I really need to use the upgrade obviously! Any known information helps.

Wait until her contract is up, because by the time that happens, the iPhone 4S will be free with Contract, just like the iPhone 4 is now free under contract.

  • IPhone 5 and SGS3 on one-year contracts? My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace -- I bought it more than a year ago SIM-free. Now I'm planning to buy either an iPhone 5 or a Samsung Galaxy S3, but their unlocked versions are rather expensive, and all contracts (at least for the S3) are for 2 years… I don't want to have the same phone for 2 years, but all one-year contracts I've seen are for some weak old phones only… Does anyone know if I can find one of these two phones on a one-year contract (UK)?
