IPhone 4 back camera is glowy?
My back camera is glowy, bright, and a little grainy and of course, annoying.
yes, i know i should just upgrade since it is the 4, no, i do not want to get a new one.
it was a used one, and when i got it the camera worked fine, but now i'm noticing tiny scratches on it.
i obviously need to fix it but i also don't want to go to a store to fix it because there are a few cracks on the back and i don't want them nagging me that i need to fix it.
(no need for the comments about how i don't take care of my stuff. Thank you.)
my software is up to date i'm pretty sure
is there a *cheap* place i can send it in so they'll fix it?
is there a safe (doubt any way of having to open it myself is safe) way i can clean or fix it?
is there somewhere in the settings i can fix the brightness?
Is the lens clean?
Just replace the back cover. The cover lens are part of the back cover of the iPhone 4, so get a cheap one on eBay or something (they even come in cool colors) and it's as simple as removing two small screws on the bottom of your phone and swapping out the back cover.
Here's one I found in like 30 seconds:

Grainy pictures are usually because of low lighting, so try to get plenty of light in your pictures. Dirty lens will block light going to the sensor so a new back cover for your iPhone may help with that.
PS. Make sure to have the right screwdriver for the iPhone since they love using proprietary stuff to build their products. Some sellers offer to throw in a free screwdriver with the purchase of the iPhone back cover.
- Why is my iPhone 4s camera different quality to another iPhone 4s camera? My mum has a iPhone 4s like me and her iphone camera seems better than mine by Quite abit. My camera is kinda grainy and I was wondering if it's anything in the settings that can change this? It's not majorly bad quality but it's definitely different to other 4s cameras!
- Why do I look okay in the front camera of my iPhone but bad in the back camera? I kinda look good in the front camera of my iPhone but I have noticed I don't look that "great" in the back camera of the phone. My face looks longer and my smile is bigger? It's kinda weird. But in the front camera i kinda look like the way I see myself in the mirror. But why do I look good in one camera but bad in the other if they're both cameras?
- Why do I look gross on my iPhone camera, but not on an actual camera? I took two videos: one on my iPhone and one on my sister's new camera to test it out. On my phone, I look gross, blotchily red- and white-faced, every blemish is exaggerated, and my skin looks oily. On my sister's camera, I looked exactly the way I do in a mirror (well/evenly tanned, no extremely noticeable blemishes, not too oily). They're both 1080p, but my phone makes me look a lot worse. Even my really old 480p camera makes me look better than on my iPhone.
- Which camera is better: An old General Imaging x500 Digital Camera or an iPhone 7 front camera? It looks like an iPhone only offers 7 MP while this camera boasts 16 MP but this camera is so old and looks worse at least on its own screen. I'm confused
