Iphone 4 comes on when plugged in only?
I have an IPhone 4 (not S) that I dropped in a bucket of mop water. I put it in rice for 4 days and now it only comes on when I plug it in, but even then it only shows the Apple logo for 6 seconds then shuts off, then shows up again, then shuts off and it keeps doing that until I unplug it. What is wrong with my IPhone?
Try to charge full and if it turn on try to restore it. Or change battery. Fall of iphone inside water damages your iphone 4 board and power ic. So better change board or repair power ic
Attempt to restore it using iTunes. If that doesn't work the phone has had it.

- Why will my iPhone only charge when plugged into my laptop? I've swapped cords, outlets etc. It's just something with the darn phone. Help! To explain further I have swapped outlets, cord etc. This means that I have taken another iphone and a different charger and attempted to charge them. Other iphones work, just not mine, Mine will only charge at my laptop.

So, I have a water damaged iphone 4s that works perfectly fine, except for the fact that it only turns on when it is connected to a power outlet. The screen works fine when connected and I can access menus and videos and such, but when I unplug it, it immediately turns off.
