IPhone 4 dock connecter super thin?

So I had never really payed attention to it but my friends dock connecter broke and so I looked at my iphone 4 black dock connecter. And it's pretty thin! Is that normal? I'm kinda like worried about it being messed up, but it still charges and every thing. Also could my 1 year old iphone 4 last me through 2 years of high school?

Yes, the dock connecter is supposed to be thin. I have Apple products from long before the iPhone 4 came out and the pins (in the connector area) are still the same. The only difference is that newer iPhones and iPods now have a smaller connector, but still just as thin.

Yes, your iPhone can last you another 2 years - if you don't break it and don't keep adding things to it, and making sure you update it. My mom has had her iPhone for 4 years now and she hasn't had a problem with it at all (yes, the same one for all 4 years).

  • Where can i get a super cute/cheap iPhone 4 case? I wanna go to a place that's in my local shopping mall like Forever 21 or H&M (stores like that). Any good places to buy adorable and cheap cases for the iPhone 4?
  • Where can I get a super cheap iPhone 4S? I'm upgrade eligible for my iPhone 3G and I really want a 4S but they're so expensive. I checked eBay and they're still expensive. Does anyone know where I could find a super cheap iPhone 4s?
  • Where can I buy thin, stiff wire? I'm looking for the thinnest possible wire that is pliable and can hold its shape while standing vertically, possibly while holding a hollow, iPhone-sized, cardboard box.Am I able to find this anywhere? And am I more likely to find something like this at an arts and crafts store or a hardware store?
  • Thin but protective iPhone 5 cases under $5? I need a thin, but protective iPhone case that will protect both the font, back, well pretty much my whole iPhone. I have an iPhone 5 by the way. I'm saving up for a MacBook Pro and don't feel like spending anymore than $5 on a case. Amy help would be appreciated!
