Iphone 4 factory reset taking forever?

Ok so i have an iphone 4 with version 5 and jailbroken. I did factory reset by 'erase all contents and settings' but the circle loading screen taking forever. What happened and what should i do now? How can i turn off my iphone.

Your iPhone 4 is stuck on the circle loading screen. Now you can try a DFU mode ora hard reset for your iPhone to exit the screen. To enter DFU mode:
1. Turn off your iPhone by pressing the Power button until it turns black.
2. Hold "Home" and "Power" button at the same time for about 10 minutes.
3. Release "Power" butoon but keep holding "Home" for another 15 seconds or so until you are noticed that you are successfuly into DFU mode.

I have jailbroken my device and used terminal to change my MAC address so that I could connect to school's Wi-Fi. But when I wanted to change it to its initial number, I typed in a wrong value and it just messed up my Wi-Fi, I can't connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Wonder if resetting to factory settings would help…
