IPhone 4 help how to unlock it?

I had a password on my phone and forgot it now my iPhone is disabled and it says connect to iTunes to unlock but iTunes says remove lock to access so how do I get my phone working again I've tried resetting it and I'd like to pay as little as possible thanks in advance

You could try to factory reboot it but all your stuff like phone contacts, apps etc will be deleted. Go look up how to do that with an iPhone.

Before you try to recover your passcode make sure to backup all the data. You can sync your phone to the computer and save it in itunes. Once this is done, try to do the following:

1. Turn off your phone
2 Plug the sync cable to your pc
3. Then plug the sync cable to your phone
4. Then you will be alerted with "found a device on recovery"
5. Restore your iphone
6. If you have the backup then you are good to go already.

Here's also another way to bypass and reset iphone passcode but may lose all your data on your phone.

1. Disconnect the cable from your phone but leave the one connected to your pc.

2. Launch itunes

3. Turn off the device by pressing and continue holding the home button on the top of the phone

4. Continue to press and hold the home button while reconnecting the usb cable to your iphone. This will turn on your phone.

5. Continue to hold the home button until you will see an alert stating "iPhone in recovery mode has been detected."

6. Now that it is in recovery mode, from itunes look for the summary tab and then click the restore button.

7. This will wipe everything out including the passcode and your iphone is back to factory settings. From here you can restore the iphone back up stored in your itunes or decide to start from scratch.
