IPhone 4 screen won't swipe or turn off?

MY iphone screen won't swipe to unlock or turn off. I have googled and googled for the past couple of days and tried everything. Nothing! I tried resetting it by holding down the power and home button several times, I tried leaving it off and even tried erasing my entire phone and started over but still nothing. Everything still works, it rings and gets texts. Since the phone is locked with a passcode I can't even use voice control to get into my phone. Is there anything else I can do without having to pay $$$ to get it fixed?

If you have a screen protector on it, that could be the problem. If not, it is a hardware issue. Might be able to be fixed or could need to be replace. No way to tell from where I'm.
iPhones come with a 1 year warranty, if the phone is older than one year and you did not buy extra coverage, the warranty will not cover the repairs or replacement.
OOW on an iPhone 4 is $149…
