IPhone 4 won't switch to 3G after losing Wi-Fi connection?

Since yesterday once I leave my house and lose the Wi-Fi signal my iPhone won't connect to 3G, nothing even comes up next to the AT&T logo on the left hand corner. So I can't use the Internet, text or anything. Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be fixed? Planing in calling AT&T now just wanted to see others input.

Turn it off, then turn it back on… I've had this happen before and that fixes it.

  • Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
  • What should I do after losing my iPhone? I learned my lesson to always put my smartphone in my pockets. I lost it by setting it next to my backpack and have it unnoticed for a couple minutes in a large college room. I set my backpack a couple feet away from me and was talking to the teacher. My question is… Should i buy another used iphone 4s or get the iphone 5 and use it long term for more than 2-3 years?
  • My iPhone 4S keeps losing internet connection? Sometimes when i try to open a new page it sometimes it says "safari can't open this page because your iPhone is not connected to the Internet" and when i open a new page or restart my phone its fine. Also, how do i connect to Wi-Fi, when i try it doesn't let me put it on, its just blocked
  • Keep losing connection to the internet; computer, ipad, iphone? It works for a couple of minutes then it has the '!' icon above the internet connection icon at the bottom. It says the network can't find the problem. It also says that the internet can't find the webpage ect. I have reset the modem but the problem is still happening with all the devises connected to the internet what is wrong and how do i fix it?
