IPhone 4S don't work got wet?

I bought a iphone private sale and they told me if I had any problems with it in the next 14 days they will fix it, so on the weekend I took it on a rubber raft with me in a plastic bag! My phone got wet, and won't work properly, and now the person I bought the iphone says they they will not help me or fix it or even replace it! What should I do?
WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THIS PERSON FIX OR REPLACE MY IPHONE?

Why should they help you to fix something you were too stupid & careless to take care of from the beginning?
You could have bought insurance… But it also has limitations on how far they will go to either fix the phone or replace it.
The people who sold you the iphone have NO responsibility to fix or replace your phone.

---ummm… Do the hokey pokey? LMAO… You can't sue him or force him. This is a private sale… And educated people know a water damaged phone is nothing more than a paperwieght… No court would take the case… If it did, the judge would instantly rule in his favor within minutes… Basically, you made a choice to do a private sale purchase without obtaining no legal signed contract or terms of service and conditions… You made the decision to take the phone on the raft… Its your fault it got wet… Its your faultt its broken beyond repair… I know your angry, but you should only be mad at yourself. The seller did his job in this capitalistic economy… God bless America…

My phone was next to my drink yesterday and the drink spilt a bit, the screen is completely dark but the actual phone still works, I tried putting it under a hair dryer and also tried putting it in rice for 24 hours, is there any other way I can make it work again?   • Iphone got wet. Screen doesn't work? I dropped my iPhone in the swimming pool… Now the screen doesn't work. I can receive calls and the vibrator works too. I've kept it in rice for days and still doesn't work. Do I need to buy a new screen or should I go to the apple store?
