IPhone 4S exposed to water
Okay so I have a lifeproof waterproof case.while sitting in the hot tub the little clip came open for a few seconds letting water into my iPhone.
You are supposed to turn the phone off when this happens, but my touch screen isn't useable and my lock button was already broken.
Is there anything i can do?
The best thing you can try is letting it sit in raw rice for a few days, hope it works out!
Insurance won't cover it because there's something inside the phone that tells them if it was soaked in water, or if it was just a little moist. It could be toast. I would try the rice thing (nothing to lose!)
- Why do iPhone case like Otterbox have the Apple logo exposed on the back? I dropped my iPhone with an otterbox case on rocky surface and everything but the area with Apple logo is scratched
- My iPhone has water in it how can I get the water out? I got a little bit of water in it at my pool and it shutoff within a minute or so, it won't turn back on and I have had it in rice for over 10 hours.
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
