IPhone 4s Flash blows out photos?

I just got an iPhone 4s and whenever I use the flash on the camera it makes the one side of the image really bright (probably because it's positioned right beside the lens). Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it?

Added (1). Turns out it was protector

It's probably just as you say, bad positioning of the flash. I doubt there's much you can do. Check if the settings in the phone give you anything to work with regarding the flash. If you want you can try using a piece of scotch tape (or something semi-clear like that) and putting it over the flash to act as a diffuser. Not sure how close the flash is to the lens… Just ensure the tape isn't on the lens. Another option is to hold a piece of tissue paper (like kleenex or something) and when you are going to take the picture drape it over the flash. These options should diffuse the light a bit and possibly amend the problem.

  • Will Google+ Photos distinguish photos from my iPhone and my Macbook Pro? I have Google+ backup for both my iPhone and my Macbook Pro (iPhoto) and I was wondering if it would distinguish pictures from the two. Like… "Photos from your iPhone" & "Photos from your Mac" Or, does it just upload them all into one place, and categorize all the photos just by date?
  • Why do iPhone photos of myself stink, but flash looks good? Whoever I take a pic of myself in the day, I think it looks awful. There are shadows under my eyes and my cheeks look puffy. It also seems like you can't get too far away from the camera. At night with flash, it looks great! Is it better to just use a regular camera for day pics?
