Iphone 4s isn't charging all the way?

I just bought an iphone 4s 16mb today for $300. I had to do some update when i brought it home and messed with it. But i've had it on the charger since i came home around 6pm and its 1246 am now. And its still on 42%. Literally won't move?
This is my first iphone, someone help please?

Before going through the final steps do the basics:

PowerOFF iPhone and see if any success.

. Or if that doesn't work try Holding both Power n Home buttons at the same you will notice the screen will flash black keep clam and carry on by holding both buttons until the Apple logo appears then move both fingers off both buttons! See if there's any success.

if that fails try restore the iPhone using iTunes (BE SURE TO BACK UP)

or still no success then it will defiantly the Battery which would need to be replaced.

Cheers. kind of agree with you man, But my logitech z5500 system is like $1000 new right now… Insane, don't want to take a chance. But your probably right.
