IPhone 4S not detecting Wi-Fi signals?

My iPhone 4S just stopped all of a sudden picking up Wi-Fi signals. It won't show any signals in the area and when I type in the name of my Wi-Fi it says there's no such signal. My wife's I phone picks up our signal and shows other signals in the area. What is wrong and what can I do? Someone told me its the transmitter receiver in my phone and not a setting or password issue.

My advice would be to get an android phone. Picking up Wi-Fi on every android I have used has been a simple process rarely involving more than a swipe and a touch on my screen.iPhones are overrated IMO, but I also think Samsung is as well. Go with Motorola or HTC next time.

Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.

Then go back into Settings-Wi-Fi and try again.

  • Why can my laptop connect to Wi-Fi signals that my iphone can't? So i have a iphone five and i have free access to bt openzone and o2 Wi-Fi, only problem being that i can't pick up the Wi-Fi signal on my iphone to connect to them. however my old dell inspiron | 1000 can pick up these Wi-Fi signals from the same house? What the hell! I want to use this Wi-Fi as its free, but my phone but it won't pick it up but my laptop can! Any ideas on how i can fix this?
  • My iPhone isn't connecting properly to my Windows XP computer? Not detecting photos? I've been trying to view my photos from my iPhone and transfer music from my computer onto it but its not working. The Camera and Scanner Wizard thing opens and a pop up comes up on my phone saying "Trust This Computer?" and I select "Trust" and it appears to try to sync but then it fails. The wizard says there are no photos on my camera but there are! How do I fix this? My USB cable isn't loose or anything and when I got into my computer it shows Apple Iphone.

  • Itunes not detecting iphone since IOS update? I have also installed the latest version of itunes but it still not detecting my iphone. I'm sure my computer has detected it because when I plugged my phone in, it asked if I want to upload the photos in my phone. So it was just the itunes problem. What should be done?
