IPhone 4S stuck on apple logo?
I've just received an iPhone 4S for christmas, I put my sim in, started to go through the set up and then it turned black and has display the apple logo for an hour now. It's on charge. I really want to use it! Please tell me how to get it off this screen!
1. Try turning it off with the button on the top right corner, hold it down for a couple seconds. If that does not work move to step 2
2. Hold the home button (circle on the face under the screen) and the lock button at the same time for several seconds and after 10 seconds or so it should restart if that does not work go to step 3.
3. Hook it up to your computer/I-tunes software and try resetting it from there. Make sure your phone is completely set up on your network/profile is set up and phone is running on current update.
4. If none of those work then take it back and get another one or contact apple. But I have faith one of those steps will fix it.
This happened with my Sony Xperia S too. Take it off the charger and let the battery drain and then turn it on(but don't forget to charge it up). I also turned on the charger but the phone became very-very hot, so I disconnected it and then the battery drained. And after charging the phone once again, it worked perfectly!
Ok should be rather easy start by turning the phone on, even if it doesn't load all the way.
plug the phone in to your laptop/pc and open itunes.( doesn't matter if the iphone shows up or not)
Now press the home and power button until the phone resets
when the phone turns off let go of the power button and keep holding the home button
(do this for 15 to 20 seconds)
your phone is now (or should be) in recovery mode and will show up in iTunes.
now select the recovery option on in itunes and wait…
it will download the latest firmware this may take some time depending on your internet connections, then it will restore your phone after this your phone will load fine.
