IPhone 4S thinks its docked?
My iPhone 4S thinks in plugged into a docking station. It won't play sound out loud and the volume slider is gone. However ringtones still play and music through headphones works.
What's wrong with it and how can I fix it?
Try turning off bluetooth, and check that you aren't connected to a device via airplay. If that doesn't work, try hard resetting your iPhone. Hold the power and home button for about 10 seconds until you see the apple logo. Note: This will not change your settings or data, it will just force reboot your iPhone, so don't worry about something happening.
Thank you so very much Kenan, you are a genius. It worked. Rebooting did the trick.
- Would you vote for iphone 5s or iphone 5c? Both my wife thinks the same performance? So she wanted to buy iphone 5c, I do not know how to choose? What is your choice, just tell me. Thank you. I think I still prefer iphone 5s. Hee hee.
- Who thinks the iPhone 5 is a waste of money? To me I'm a Windows and Android fan but I have heard that the iPhone 5 is a waste of money and why would you need to upgrade anyway its a ripoff. I have to use apple everywhere I go cause my school uses it for everything and its annoying apple. To me windows is easier to use well back to the question, Why do apple have to make the iPhone 5 complicated with a different docking input and why is it apparently a flop? IPhone 5 is apparently a waste of money?
- Tell if its something wrong with iphone battery or its software bug? I'm noticing significant droppage in battery percent on idle condition at night, but when i do browsing, gaming, video recording it drains normal, why idle condition is consuming more battery than using?
- My iphone thinks its docked? So therefore can't play music on built in speakers. I found a way to temporarily resolve this issue by actually docking it and then taking it off. It will work for about a minute or two, then go back to thinking its docked. Any suggestions? Tried cleaning them out already… :/
