apple 5 has faster chip, 4" screen not 3.5" screen.

The 5 of course is the better phone. Faster processor, more RAM, better graphics, slimmer, bigger display etc. Also in the long term it would still get iOS updates where the iPhone 4S & previous iPhones would have stopped.
