Iphone 5 and Ihome 30 pin - lightning?
I just recently got a Iphone 5 and Ihome and i'm wondering if i buy a 30 pin to lightning adapter so i can place my phone on the dock will i be able to play music. Will i be able to play music?
I purchased one for my iPhone 5 so I could play music and charge my iPhone on my iHome. It does work. It looks funny since it's a big phone sitting on this tiny little adapter. Haha. Sometimes I think It'll fall over and break but it sits on the device pretty well, so a problem shouldn't occur at all. Hopefully they begin making iHome docks that are lightning compatible so I won't have to use it anymore. To answer your question, yes, it will play your music. The adapter was built to accommodate your incompatible iHome, for the time being. Now, there are two different types of 30pin connectors that work the same way. Only difference is one has a cord and cost more. Whichever one you choose, it'll work. In the description, it says, "This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Supports analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Video output not supported"

- Lightning to 30-pin adapter? I have an ihome and an iphone 5. Obviously my iphone 5 won't fit onto my ihome so i ordered an adapter for it to work on Ohcase.com and it doesn't work. It said it was not able to work because it wasn't certified and not realible for my iphone. Where could i get a good one that is certified for cheaper than $20?
- IPhone 5 Adapters? 8-pin-female 30-pin? I heard that with a case you can't use the 30-pin-8-pin adapter. Is there something (like a cable) that has the 8-pin on one end and on the other end has a female 30-pin? I ask this because I'd like to use my iHome dock without removing the case.
- I have the pink and black faded ihome case on my iphone 5 and it is stuck? I need to get this case off soon. It's supposed to be one of those cases where the bottom comes off then you slide the phone out but the bottom won't come off. I can't use a knife so please don't suggest that. Do you think I should take it to the apple store? That would be my last choice but if I have to I will.
