Iphone 5 Apple Mail not sending Hotmail emails?
Today, my phone started to not send Hotmail emails from the mail app. It has worked before, but now it gives me the " And Error occurred while delivering this message." I still get emails, I just can't respond. I can respond on the computer, and I can use any other email (Gmail, for example).
I have tried deleting the account and re-entering it, but that didn't work. I also tried with a new email, which did not work as well. Both of my Hotmail accounts did not work.
Same problem here. Just started this afternoon. Have already tried the two common forum suggestions: hard reset of device and delete/re-add account. Something is either wrong on Microsoft's or Apple's end. This happened once before, maybe a year or so ago, and it took 12-24 hrs for them to fix it. Wait and try again tomorrow. If not resolved, then try the two steps I mentioned.
I have exactly the same problem. I live in singapore and 24 hours ago it all worked now I can't send any emails from my hotmail account.
I called my service provider 3 times and they don't think its their end as I tried with and without wireless connected.
They asked if another email program would work (I didn't have a gmail so set one up quickly) and that works fine.
So I believe it is hotmails issue for the mobile network in this area. As the other email program's work I think issue will be resolved by this afternoon/end of day in past experiences like this.
Fingers crossed as I'm no expert but I bet its affecting lots of people.

Same here worked for many years without an issue but problem started earlier today and not one email has been sent since. Microsoft is a pain…
Same thing here on my ipad 2.
I'm in Canada and can't send any mails from hotmail and live.

Same problem here in Australia. This is definitely some issue with hotmail.

- Why are my emails not sending? I'm on holiday in Spain. My mum has connected both my iPad and my my iPhone to the villa's Wi-Fi. We're out at the moment, but I'm still connected to the web. The emails that are sent to me will often still come through to my email address, but I'm still unable to actually send emails, no matter where I'm. Please help. Thank you. Any good answers that I may get will mean a lot to me so thanks in advance.
- There's no hotmail option for mail on iPhone? I can't set up my email account on the mail because there's no hotmail option. I tried the outlook option aswell but it says mine can't be verified? Probably because mine is @hotmail not @outlook. oh yeah thanks.
- Setting up a College-given Hotmail account in Mail or Sparrow for iPhone? I attend a school where the email given is hotmail, but the address is not xxxx@hotmail.com. When I try to access my account on Mail or Sparrow on my iPhone, I can't get it to work. It either says that it can't connect, or asks for ingoing/outgoing servers, etc.etc. And then tells me it can't connect. If anyone has any ideas for Mail or Sparrow they would be much appreciated! I will use whichever I can get to work, so please let me know if you have ideas for either app.
- S4 how to receive hotmail emails? I had an iphone 4 now I got a s4 my question is on iphone there was an app cqlled MAIL where I connected my hotmail acc and I kept on getting my mail. So on the s4 can you do it? If yes how please explsin the steps
