Iphone 5 battery is inaccurate?

My iphone will have over half a charged battery. Then I randomly get the 10% warning and then it immediately dies. When I put my phone on the charger it will turn back on and say I will have over half a battery again. Why does my phone die for no reason and how can I fix it? Will apple replace my phone? It's still under warranty.

I think not

Give us a call at 1800My Apple and ask to be transferred to iOS. We have a diagnostic test we can run on your phone that will show us the batteries health. But I can almost guarantee you that the battery is going to fail the test. A replacement Battery is $79 unless you have had the device less than a year. If it is under warranty still we will replace the battery for free.

You can refect the battery problem to apple, I think they will replace it for you for totally free. It seems the iPhone 5 battery in your hand has some problem.

I had an issue with my iPhone 5 's battery as well. It would die as soon as the battery got to 20%. Luckily I still had 5 days left on my warranty and was able to get my iPhone replaced for free. If you're still under warranty then they will probably replace it. Before you go to the apple store though, I would recommend restoring it through iTunes and setting it up as new. If that doesn't fix it then go to apple. If you don't have warranty, they will still replace it for you but you will probably have to pay for the new iphone.

Happens to me before try resetting it turn it off then turn it on if not maybe a soft ware problem try restoring or maybe it could be a battery problem but if it doesn't dies easily just try the 2 problem first
