IPhone 5 deleting texts by itself?
I just bought an brand new iPhone 5 from Best Buy a week ago, and for some reason my texts are getting deleted. But the weird part is not the whole conversation will get deleted, only bits and pieces will be missing. And I know for a fact it's not someone going through my phone and deleting them because this has happened when I'm by myself.
So far it has done to this to two different contacts in my phone, and I know for sure one also has an iPhone and I think the other person has one too, but I'm not 100% positive. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?
Try stopping the app (stopping the multitasking) by double-clicking the home button and holding down on those apps until a little red minus appears and click those to cancel multitasking apps. If that doesn't fix your problem then try doing it again and restarting your phone. The iPhone shouldn't randomly delete messages, and when an issue like this occurs to me, doing the above procedure always fixes the issue and I don't have it again.
- Why is my iphone deleting my texts? I just reently got a new iphone its an iphone 4s and its not updated to the newest version its still at 5.0.1 but for some reason ill scroll up in a message coversation and the texts from before will be gone. It seems like whenever i receive new texts the old ones get deleted for the new ones but how do i change this so none of them get deleted
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- Problem deleting texts from iPhone 4? I'm running out of storage on my iPhone, so I decided to clean house. My texts are one of my biggest storage uses, because I never delete them, so I started there. Unfortunately, I've sent and received so many texts from some people that I can't mass delete them. Everytime I try my phone freezes for 10 minutes, crashes, and restarts, with all of the texts still there. I really don't want to delete them one by one… Does anyone have a solution?
- My iphone's screen will not turn on, but the iphone itself is still on? I have tried holding in the home and top button, I know that the iphone is on because when i press the buttons i can hear the little click noises. It is fully charged, and i have not been able to get it up in itunes, but i can access the music on it through another program. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I do not want to take it in to the store unless absolutely necessary.
