IPhone 5 jailbreak evasi0n not working for me?

I downloaded evasi0ns jailbreak via windows and went through the beginning steps of the jailbreak process, until it came to unlock your device and tap the 'jailbreak' icon. I've unlocked my phone. And there's no icon. I've repeated the whole process 3 times and I still get no icon on the second page of my iphone homescreens.
Anyone else having this issue?
Anyone know how to solve it?

This may sound silly, but make sure your phone is connected to your computer. Do you get any errors? Check All pages. Sometimes the icon will go into an empty space on another page.

Did you have a lock screen on?

This is what you will do.
1. Put into DFU mode
2.restore from a backup.
3.once its restore and going good, watch my video ill show you how.

I have had tons of friend with this problem. If when you last updated your iphone was over the air that is why it will not work.plug your iphone into your computer open itunes and back up your iphone and then restore your iphone from your back up so you do not lose any info. And then try the jailbrake again. Hope this helps

You can try restoring to an earlier iOS and updating iOS 6.1 with iTunes. Look over this tutorial and make sure there aren't things you're missing when you're doing the jailbreak (like removing the lockscreen if you have one)
