IPhone 5 keeps randomly playing music and starting Siri?
I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7. For the past few days, my phone keeps starting Siri even when I don't press the home button, and then after (sometimes before) my music starts playing. Recently, the music is sped up and starts playing really fast. This process has happened frequently every day, for the past 3 or so days. I already restarted my phone, but that didn't work. Could it be the headphones I'm using? I usually have them plugged in. What should I do?
Best to my knowledge, this kind of funny behavior happens when the iCloud backup is restored after an OS upgrade or restore.
First of all, connect your iPhone to your local machine to iTunes and take a local manual backup. When you connect, it shows Options for backup like, iCloud or This Computer. If it is iCloud, then choose "This Computer", select "Encrypt local backup" and then select "Backup Now" option.
This will make sure, current status is saved. Just in case. Now follow below steps.
Do a complete reset of your iPhone via Settings -> General -> Reset (erase all contents and reset)
Once is phone is back online and activated, setup as a new iPhone. And configure iCloud to get your notes/contacts back, sync the Apps via iTunes
