Istead of iphone 5, you should go for samsung s4 its a amazing phone and have more features and more advance hardware than apple i phone 5
I will never ever recommend you to buy a ANDROID because I have encountered with some seriously annoying software problems with android such as unexpected shut downs in a middle of a call on a S4 or so… So now I use a iPhone where there's no any problem to be dealt with. Yes many people will encourage you to buy an Android phone, which exactly happened to me, never buy even they tell you to because Apple products are much has a better quality from every view.
Gayal is right bro, never buy android, they freeze, hang, force close, even sometimes we can't even call in emergency it will hang coz its bloody ram hungry os, buy iPhone even 4s is nice.
If you wanna use a mobile phone to the fullest go with android because they are user friendly and hell customisable but on the other hand they even have few negative points such as freezing, hanging, force, closing, and more but apple doesn't has any problems like android even apple has feature like android(apps and all, not the os and the whole. Apple is awesome its really good but its very costly so people think that wats the use of wasting money for just a mobile phone instead lets buy android which is awesome and even is cheap you can get awesome android phones under 10k and actually worth the price!
Almost 80% of the people in India use Android phones as they are lot more cheaper than Iphones also they give all the features which are given by IPhone.
