IPhone 5 screen won't turn on?

My iphone froze while I was on the Internet so I locked the screen and now it won't turn back on. The power button stopped working about two months ago so I've been using assistive touch but the home button still works. The phone is charged and its on because I can hear Siri when I hold the button and when I tried calling my phone it vibrated and made sound like it should but the screen is still black. I've tried plugging it in but the screen stays black, I tried calling apple as well but apparently there's business hours so that's annoying. Is there anything I can do to make the screen show up?

My iPhone actually did the exact same thing last week.

The ONLY thing you can do (without restoring it) is;
Plug in headphones (with a play/pause button), press the play button and turn up the volume with the headphones so you can hear music playing through the headphones. Then you're gonna have to let it die, and once it's dead, you'll be able to plug it in and turn it back on.
