Iphone 5 won't connect to computer at all but charges when using wall charger? - 1
I've just got an iphone 5, it bought it from ebay and everythings fine. However, when connecting it to the computer nothing seems to happen - the phone doesn't charge and the computer or itunes doesn't recognise it. When using the same cable with the wall charger it charges… What can i do? I can't go to Apple as i don't have a receipt?
Thats why you don't buy *** from ebay. The person who sold it to you probobly knew that it was messed up, so they sold it to you.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the iphone. The computer may be too old to recognise it. Or the usb port may not have enough power. Try using a different USB porthole on your computer (eg on the cpu itself). Another thing is that maybe the computer system is too old.
I had this problem with my ipad… I had the macbook running on mac os x snow leopard but ipad still didn't recognise it… I now have mac lion and it works fine.
what you can do is update your computer or update the system on it.
you can still go to the apple store and ask for advice. It doesn't matter if you don't have receipt. They can still offer good advice and tips on what you can do next.
