Iphone 5 won't get past the apple logo screen?
So about 2 weeks ago my iphone ran out of battery so i charged it. The next morning i turned it on and it showed the apple logo and i left it in my pocket and went to school. 3 hours later, i checked again and it was still in the white apple logo screen. I tried to restart it by holding onto the POWER and HOME BUTTON. But that didn't work at all. Every time it turned on it got stuck in the white apple logo screen. I tried letting it die out and then turning it on and it doesn't work. II tried connecting to the computer to restore the phone but the computer doesn't seem to detect the phone at all. My iphone is not jail broken. The screen is cracked though, and before this started, it would connect to Wi-Fi and disconnect from it every few seconds by itself. I've had the phone for a year and it has all my photos and videos. I don't think my mom would be happy if i can't fix it or even retrieve my data from it. Anyone help? Is there some technical stuff to this? Do i need to open up the phone and replace something?

I haven't seen this problem but generally speaking when a computer or phone starts up it checks the hardware. It might be detecting the broken screen and it's hanging? I've replaced the screen on my phone but I graduated from technical college. You might have to get someone with more skills then yourself to replace it. The screen and digitizer both have to be replaced, parts on ebay. You can probably hire someone in your area to take a look at it. Was this the first time you rebooted your phone since the glass cracked?
If you enabled the function some of your pictures might be on the icloud. Login from the itunes computer. Look in the program menu for icloud. Put in your apple username and password.
