Iphone 5c incoming calls just say UNKNOWN CALLER no phone number displayed?
I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion. I recently switched to an iphone and when I receive incoming calls no number comes up it simple says Unknown name. I've never had this happen with a phone before. I contacted the carrier who have no answer why this is happening and are going to look into it. In the meantime I don't know who is calling my phone. I can't figure it out if anyone has a answer or knows what might be going on I'd love some feedback.
Thats usually a sure sign its a spammer, I never answer those or any number I don't recognize.
Either the number is being withheld or it's from overseas.
Don't give the number out unless you need to.
Don't answer it. One scam is they will deliberately hang up and you'll get a text message with another number to call back, which is a premium rate one (unknown to you).
You could ask your network if they can block calls where the caller's number is withheld. In my country, you can do this for free or a for a bit extra a month on your bill.
- Why is my iPhone number being displayed wrongly on my number? My number is X, but on "my number" settings, it's being displayed number Y. Why is that? Also, some people told me that when I call or text them, the number Y is appearing to them, not the number X as it should. On the other hand, if I call the number X, my iPhone rings normally, but the same thing doesn't happen when I call number Y.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- What's the difference between an 'unkown' caller and 'no caller ID'? This unknown number keeps ringing me, and i thought if someone blocked their numbers (on iphones) it comes up as no caller ID so i'm not sure if it is still a blocked number or a number that can't come trhough. But when i answer nobody speaks and they've rang one of my friends so its not a scam phone call also they don't speak at all so if it was a company of some sort they must of spoken so its probably a prank call but i wanna know the difference to make sure.
- My Iphone Declines Incoming Calls When My Phone is Locked? My Iphone 3GS with the latest iOS 6 update keeps declining calls when its locked. My phone never rings nor does it alert me when i get a text message. It will only alert me when the phone is left unlocked. i'm using an att-go phone sim card and i had no problems with it for almost a year but now i've been having issues for almost two months.i've tried restoring it as well… But nothing changed…
