Iphone 5c photos printed to Walgreens?

A few weeks ago I used the Walgreens app to print pictures from my phone. I chose the size 4x6 so they could fit in my albums. However, when I printed them they look zoomed in and half of the pictures had people's faces cut off and they don't look like they do on my phone! Is there a setting on the iphobe 5c to prevent this from happening again? I don't want to increase the photo size where they wouldn't fit in the albums. Any suggestions!

This is something that is a never ending problem that people just can't seem to grasp. It is all a matter of ASPECT RATIO. The height to width ratio of the sensor in the phone (and most all point and shoot cameras also), is NOT the same as the height to width ratio of a 4 x 6 print. Think of trying to put a square peg in a round hole. The image from the phone does not "fit" into a standard 4 x 6 frame size, so when the photo is brought up in size so it fills the entire 4 x 6 area, thus trying to make a near square into a rectangle, then of course, the top and bottom are going to be cut off.

Some photo sites, Walmart being one of them, offer what they call "digital prints". These prints do not cause any cropping of photos taken with cameras such as in the phone or point and shoot cameras. Instead of the photo being 4 x 6, it is something like 4 x 5.33. It is not as large an overall print, but there's no cropping. The "digital print" is a match to the height to width aspect ratio of the camera sensor.

I do not know if Walmart has an app to print photos from your phone, if not, just get the photos onto your computer and then upload them to the Walmart online print service. When ordering the photos, you select the 4 x 6 inch print size, but if any of your photos do not meet that aspect ratio, you have the choice to choose the "digital prints" which are the slightly smaller size with no cropping.

  • Will Google+ Photos distinguish photos from my iPhone and my Macbook Pro? I have Google+ backup for both my iPhone and my Macbook Pro (iPhoto) and I was wondering if it would distinguish pictures from the two. Like… "Photos from your iPhone" & "Photos from your Mac" Or, does it just upload them all into one place, and categorize all the photos just by date?
  • Where can I get custom iPhone cases printed for resale? I'm looking to have some illustrations, graphic designs etc etc etc printed onto iPhone cases as cheaply as possible (but not so cheaply that they're rubbish quality) so that I can then resell them on sites like bigcartel and etsy. I was just wondering if anybody knew a site that I could use to get them printed?
  • What size should I get my iPhone photos printed? I have about 150 photos on my iPhone 5 that I plan on getting printed at Walgreens. I originally planned on just getting all of them done in the normal 4x6 prints, but then it dawned on me that I have no idea what size my photos are and if getting them printed like this will actually work or if it will ruin them. What size are iPhone 5 photos anyway, and what size is it best to get them printed in?
  • Walgreens picture printing from iphone? I was to print about 17 pictures and i want to know around how much would it cost? And would the effects of the picture affect how it will come out looking? ( first time trying this)
