IPhone 5s is getting 5 hours of battery usage?

I have the iPhone 5s, it's almost a year old. I also own the iPad Air 2. My iPad gets about 12-14 hours of usage before I have to worry about charging it. My iPhone on the other hand has terrible battery life, lasts about 5 hours with light usage, and about 3 with moderate. This is not acceptable. How is your battery life going on your iPhone. (I find out how much usage I'm getting by going to settings, general, usage, battery usage.) iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

Mine is about the same. I've heard it drains when left on charge for long than 100%

I have a iphone 5s as well my battery life last maybe 5 to 6 hours with very little usage just texting and talking if i'm on the internet witch in most cases i'm it will last maybe 2 to 3 hours i think they should work on making the battery life longer on the iphones

It's time to get a new battery. Most people faces the same problem after using for couple of years. Some just face the issue within one year.

Make sure you shut off Wi-Fi and bluetooth when your not using them. Though your not connected it is still sending signals and therfore draining it. Also kill your brightness and turn off cellar data when applicable. These will save your battery like nothing else. If that doesn't help you can have the battery replaced or you can buy a case battery

  • Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
  • My iPhone battery lasts for 1.5 hours maximum, what should I do It is on whited00r custom 3.1.3 FW, the battery heats too much and won't last for more than 1.5 hours and it drains in stand by mode (and there's no app opened or push or notifications or BT or ShSh ) what should I do about that.   • My iPhone 5 battery became 58% after 7 hours Help! It was 100% just now! I did not use iCloud and my brightness is low. It used to last at least one day or two! For the first time it drains. When I was using my phone at 100%, about 1 min or less, it became 99% but now it became about 3-4 mins per 1% less. Help me! It was great when I bought it. I bought it on December 2012.
  • IPhone: settings cell usage vs AT&T's data usage number? AT&T has a number, by calling it will send you a text message telling you how much usage you have used on your data. But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
