IPhone 5s network connection problem?

Here's the deal. I never had any problems before but then out of the blue, it started saying "unable to connect to ___"

Sometimes it connects for a minute or so and then disconnects, sometimes it asks for the password, others no passoword, and mostly I can't connect

Here's what I have tried:
1. Reset network connections. Didn't work, didn't even ask me for a password when trying to connect after the reset?
2. STatic IP address
3. Auto proxy
4. Resetting the router
5. "forget this network"

Any other suggestions? My brother just came home from college and there's like a 500% chance that he may have affected it. I think?

Can you log in to the router with another device, if no then the password may have been changed.

On an android locally stored music doesn't require data or Wi-Fi to play. So how come I can't play music on my iPhone without eating my data?
