Iphone 6 back up on 10/2017 got sync to my new iphone 8?

MY iphone 6 was backed up on my computer on 10/2017. Today i connected my iphone 8 and sync all my old phone and i can't find all my photos from my iphone 8 i had over 7,000 pictures and new contacts. But now i only have my back up info from 10/2017. I do not believe it got delete but i got about 400 photos that i took in the last couple of months.

It is possible that you had set your phone to back to to iCloud, and your photos and other data are there. I have remind myself to back up all our phones to my computer, because they are all set to back up to to the Cloud automatically. Since this is critical work, find a smart friend to sit down at your computer and see if they can do this for you. Or - get your iCloud password, go to a good shop, and have them do this. I'm sorry you are upset, but any of us who learned how to do this (and maybe had our OWN PANIC once) could help you in minutes. And then you will know for the future, how to be safe and not lose things.
