Since I was on vacation I wasn't I didn't have access to rice or anything like that. I propped it up against a wall for the next 9 hours. A few drops of water came out during the first hour but after that nothing. It then turned on and told me to plug into iTunes, then shut off and hasn't turned back on since. Is it gone for good or can I still save it?

Sounds like it is "gone" RIP. Many you should get a water proof or water resistant phone as your next phone.

Keep the phone into the refrigerator for 2-3 days. When taking it out, wrap it with a thin poly in order to resist air moister. Keep at room temperature for sometime to reach normal temperature and try it to power up.

  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
