IPhone 7 plus overheated and won't turn on?

When i woke up about two hours ago, i got my phone and noticed that it was extremely hot and it gave me a message to
let the phone cool off and so i waited and once i started using it again i realized it made a weird noise sort of like crackling, so i turned my phone off and when i turned it back on it started looping in the startup screen and it wouldnt go passed that. Now i git my phone to the point where it says connect to itunes but when i do itunes doesn't even show that my phone is connected. Any suggestions as to what mightve happened? I have the latest version of itunes installed.

Take it to Apple, should still be under warranty.

I just now found out that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s were two different phones so that makes for 2 other new phones I learned about what are the differences? I'm thinking of switching from my Samsung 6 to an iPhone 6.

  • IPhone overheated while charging? I have an iPhone 6. I plugged it in and left it on a table before going to bed as i usually do and I woke up in the middle of the night last night to check missed messages and the phone was about to burst into flames it was that hot. It had the high temperature warning and it did not charge. I used the apple cord and plug that came with it. It seems to work now but battery is losing power faster than usual. Should I take it to apple?
  • IPhone Overheated-text messages received? I left my iPhone 4s in the car while it was got out, and when I got back there was a message on the screen saying that the phone overheated and I couldn't use the phone until the temperature went down. It's okay now, but I'm wondering if someone texted me during that time, would I still receive their text later?
