Iphone 7 won't turn on (black screen)?

I was using my phone all night yesterday and left it at about 10 percent before going to sleep, i woke up and it won't turn on it has a black screen… I have a theory for why this happened, i'm in france right now and i'm using a transmitter to charge my phone (since i'm from canada i need to use a transmitter outlet) could that have messed up my phone battery? Please let me know how to fix

Since iPhones are popular if trying a hard restart of holding the start button for about 30 seconds doesn't work someone likely has a YouTube video or blog post about it
