IPhone and iTunes syncing problem?

So, I have a mac and I was an idiot and decided to delete all the music in my computer, thinking iTunes would save it, but of course not. So now i can't sync my iPhone in order to put on new music or else it would delete all the music off my phone. Is there a way to save the music on my phone to my computer somewhere? If I deselect the music on my iTunes, would they be deleted off my phone when I sync? Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

If you set iTunes to have your iPhone manually managed and cancel syncing you should be able to avoid iTunes deleting the phone's music. I use MM mode on my bipod instead of relying on sync and I've never had to worry about this problem even though I've replaced a hard drive and gone through 2 reformats since I got it.

You should try copying your iPhones music to the PC but this will require 3rd party software like copytrans or sharepod. I've never used either because all of my music was backed up to CD and then DVD. In the future you should back up your music to disc like I have. Sure discs get broken or lost or wiped but they are still a cost effective way to save and protect your stuff. Even if you didn't delete your music your computer could still have been damaged or needed to be reformatted or replaced.
