IPhone apps/update? Am I doing something wrong?

I bought an iPhone 3GS off eBay second hand just to last a couple of months til my contract is up. Anyway I try to download any app be it twitter instagram whatsapp whatever and it keeps saying requires ios5 so I went to update my phone and it's fully updated and can't hold ios5 so does this mean I just can't download anything? Or ambi doing something wrong? The version I have is 4.2.1 if that's any useful information.

Did you go to: Settings-->General-->Software Update? I'm sure someone else will have a better answer to your question, but that is one way you can update your phone. The other way is to connect your IPhone to your computer and update it through ITunes. I hope this helps! And I hope you can update your phone!

Bad news sorry - 3GS won't run ios5 - best bet is sell it back on ebay and buy a iphone4

I it is a 3GS, you can upgraded it to the latest iOS via iTunes, But if it is really a 3G then 4.2.1 is the max. Finding compatible apps that are still available for vintage Apple mobile devices can be frustrating on iTunes.

  • There's something wrong with my itunes store for iphone 5? When I click on the app to open it, it loads for a second before it automatically goes back to my home screen. What should I do? I already turned my iphone off and on and cleared my history repeatedly. Is there any solution besides restarting my iphone 5 again? By the way, this iphone 5 is not new, and it had been working after I had updated to IOS7 until i had noticed this morning.

It started taking up around 5gig and now it's taking up almost 6gig. It's making me hate my iphone, since there's no room for even 5 songs anymore. What could this be?
