I believe there's a setting where you can disable auto-update.
HI so no as it is your device it needs permission to do an update hence why you need to be in control of when and where an update is done.So time for you to take responsibility for your own life not expecting others to do it all for you.

That category isn't showing recent updates, it's showing apps that you have downloaded before, whether they're downloaded on your device or not. They just stuck it under the updates tab for a place to put it.
