IPhone broke by mistake, so I broke it more? What about my information?

My iPhone broke because I accidentally dropped it. The screen didn't turn on and the lock button was already broken. I brought it to a phone store to see if they can fix it, they said it would be a lot of money and I just get a new phone. Anyways, I'm worried about my information on it. I didn't have a phone number on it and only used it for Wi-Fi at home or where ever. But, I had my email accounts saved, and other things that were sort of important. I ended up breaking the phone even more. I took a hammer and broke it into pieces and then left it in water for a few minutes. If someone found my phone one day through the garbage, would they be able to get through my stuff or even fixed it? I broke it a lot, screen is off, just everything and left it to have water damage. Can someone tell me about my information? Will someone be able to have get my passwords, etc,? Even though I didn't write my passwords on the notes or anywhere in the phone. Am I safe or should I burn it with fire?

I would actually trade it in at the Apple store if you aren't able to wipe it, if you trade it in there then you are safe as they will make sure its wiped clean.

Unless you backed everything up on the Sim card or on your computer there's no way of getting that info back. I say burn it with fire.

  • Is my iPhone making a mistake? I got notified today that this guy on fb tagged me and 8 other people in a status, and this happened a couple weeks ago too, same guy. The weird thing is that when I go on fb there's no evidence of that and we aren't fb friends, I don't know him, we just have one mutual friend. So is my iPhone making a mistake or something?
