Iphone camera only takes black pictures?
Recently I opened up my iPhone 4 running ios 7.1.2 to find that my camera will only take black photos. Both my iPhones front and rear camera are doing this. My iPhone screen shows that I'm looking at something black even in a well lighted room. Both the camera app and third party camera apps do this.
What happens when you take a photo outdoors in full sun?
If you get a photo in full sun, that means that the auto ISO feature of your camera is either turned off or has failed.
In either case I would visit the Apple store and have them look at it and see what they can figure out (or your mobile service where you bought the phone)
Did you remove the packing tape from the lenses?
Either both digital sensors or both camera circuits and processor are damaged. Bring the camera to Apple for repair.

I'm going on a trip to the Niagara Falls and my dad asked me to look for a good camera since the one we have is 5 years old and takes very bad pictures. My iPhone takes better pictures than that camera. What's a good camera that both records high quality videos and takes awesome pictures. I don't want a big DSLR camera though, just a small compact camera that I can put in my pocket.

- My iPhone 4S takes pictures of my pocket? Sometimes when I put my iPhone in my pocket and I try to change the music volume with my headset's buttons, the volume doesn't change. Then I will take the phone out of my pocket and if I press the home button it displays the camera app. I never get my lock screen, just straight to the camera app. I'm currently running iOS 5.1.1 jailbroken. Anyone know what's happening?
