IPhone deleted contacts and calendar?

I went on my iPhone at 9:30 this morning and everything was fine, however when I came back to it 2 hours later it had randomly deleted a load of my contacts and my calendar!

Please please help me I need to know if there's a way of getting these back and why my phone has done this in the first place!

If you backed it up you can hook up to iTunes on computer

Check what account you are signed into iCloud with as I too have accidently signed into a different account and lots contacts.

If you are logged into the wrong account, just log into the correct one and you will get your contacts back if you backed up.

I'd go with Tom you are logged in a different account that's why you noticed a sudden loss of contacts as it will never just happen randomly or, you might've updated your phone to the ios 7 in that case you can check alot of problems and solutions reported in the below links

  • Updated iPhone iOS 6.0 and it deleted All MY CONTACTS I do not have anything stored on icloud. Now, I do have all my stuff stored to my computer on iTunes, i just tried to restore my iPhone, but my contacts are not there. I'm very frustrated and mad that this happened.
  • Safari and calendar won't open on my iPhone 4? So i try to open my safari and it'll try to open but eventually end up crashing as well as my calendar. I've tried resetting my settings and hasn't helped at all.
  • On my iPhone, my mail, calendar, safari, and maps won't open Hey… So I tried jailbreaking my phone and it didn't work. Anyways, after I stoped trying to jailbreak it, I realized that some of the apps that you can't delete (Mail, Calendar, Safari, and Maps) won't open! They just keep crashing! I really would like these apps to work again so I can use them while I'm on the go. I already tired the dumb little things like turning my phone off and then back on… But it doesn't seem to work!
  • Iphone pictures deleted and replaced with my son s photos and contacts? My phone was plugged into the computer to charge. My son tried to download his music onto my ipod as a favor by clicking the button "sync" in his itunes library. Unwittingly he downloaded all of his pictures from his iphone onto my iphone and consequently deleted all of my pictures. My pictures were not previously uploaded to the computer and I would really appreciate some help in retrieving them if it at all possible. My son and I both have iphone 4
