Iphone dropped in toliet? IS THERE HOPE?

Last night i knocked my iphone into the toliet off my sink, i took it out right away was only in there for 3 seconds or less, i then went and put it in rice right away, i read to blow dry it but then afterwards i read not to cuz it could melt it, i hope i didn't. I then vacuumed it for about 20 mins to try and suck water out, its been in rice for about 17 hours now and i'm gonna vacuum it again soon, anyways my screen is cracked so there's tiny pieces of glass missing in the corner reveling some metal and plastic, am i completely screwed or should i keep it in rice and it will hopefullly turn back on, also my battery died right before i knocked it in the water so hopefully it didn't short circuit, when should i try putting it on my charger?

Keep it in rice for another 24 hours or so.
You might be amazed… Water got trapped under my screen, but it still worked after being placed in rice

Was there any poop in the toilet?

Pit it in a bowl of rice for a few days. The rice will absorb the moisture.

Ooo. Not good. This is a 50 - 50 thing. Leave it in the rice for another week, then hold your breathe, and plug it in.

  • Why isn't Mandy Moores album 'Wild hope' available on iTunes? I really want to download it and I can't buy it and have it delivered because I don't have a computer to sync to my iPhone, I just want I download it from iTunes on my phone. I love this album and really want to download it!
  • Water damaged IPhone 4s. Is there hope? Today I idiotically fell into a pool with my iPhone in my pocket. It was submerged for about three seconds and afterward there was no display but it would still vibrate at messages and calls. I shook the water out of it immediately but I couldn't get it in rice for about 20 mins. I took out thr sim card and managed to turn off my phone and I'll let it sit in the rice for 24-48 hours. Is this just a lost cause or is there actually hope in me reviving my "child"
  • My iPhone SE went for a swim with me - Any hope? So right now I'm in Outer Banks (beautiful area, my family rented a house with a pool and a short walk to the beach) and I went for a 5ish minute swim in the pool. Then my mom called me in to have lunch, and that s when I realized I f ed up. My family is big, so I had a bunch of suggestions being thrown at me at once, a bunch of them being the bag or rice. We don't have rice at the house, and nobody s gone food shopping yet. Is my phone a lost cause? Any advice would be a great help.
