IPhone dropped. Unique issue

I have had no problems with damage to my iPhone 4S but I recently dropped it on pavement and my music stopped then the screen slowly faded to black and shut off. I gave it a half a minute then powered it on and now it's perfectly fine. Exactly as it left off, except the music wasn't playing. Is there anything wrong anymore with my phone? Why did it fade out then shut off? Should I be scared for the next time I drop it?

Fade out screens are most likely when the device goes into the Boot Settings to recover the Hard Drive. It means for a split second on contact with the ground, the phone disconnected from the hard drive and reconnected. It was recovering your files. Great thing about iPhones. Its fine. Also a fade out screen means the screen lost power from the battery for a split second. It should be fine now. About the music… The music driver in the drive might be damaged. Or it got shocked from the reconnection. That might be a problem. Use an app to listen to music instead and no problem

I don't know what to tell you but go to the Apple store or your nearby phone service store and tell them what happened to your phone!

Its probably related to dropping the phone. All signs point to dropping the phone.
