Iphone esn still linked to verizon account?
I just bought 2 iphones for verizon used. I checked the esn's online and they came up bad. I text the guy and got the text on one of the phones. I assume the esn must be good if I got his text on it? Does he just need to call Verizon and have the phones deactivated?
Added (1). BTW he restored the phones before I got them. When I set them up they activated.
Depends, if the phones are off contract then yes. If the phones are still on contract I don't think he can sell them yet.
If you texted the guy and one of the phones received the txt guess what? If the other phone has a bad ESN and you bought it anyway now you have 2 phones with bad ESN, in other words 2 very expensive paperweights. The phone that received the txt is still activated and under contract and you can't call verizon to change anything because legally the phone is not yours to change its on somebody elses account and most likely he was not planing to pay whatever he owns the carrier so the sadly to say you have 2 useless phones, i don't think you can flash them to any other company.
He can call verizon and deactivate only and ONLY if there's $0.00 balance on the account.
- This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID? I'm completely restoring my iPhone and I got the following error message: "This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID". I have no idea what the apple ID is though that it is asking for. Do you think the Apple Store will be able to help me and bypass this?
- Verizon iPhone 5 comes gsm unlocked so if the esn is bad can you still use gsm? I was wondering sense the iPhone 5 for Verizon come GSM unlocked, if the ESN is bad can it still be used with GSM networks? Please let me know thanks
- My iPhone is being linked to other devices? Me and my parents are all under the same iTunes account so when I buy a song on my iPhone it goes on my parents devices as well through Wi-Fi. I now have a new SIM card and a new number for my iPhone so texts sent to my phone are being sent to my parents as well. How do I stop this?
- My iphone 4 is linked to someone's ipad? So i just recently got a iPhone 4 for Christmas, and these children in my neighborhood have iPads from their school, and for some odd reason i'm linked to one of them? I'm not sure how i'm, and everytime they take pictures it goes to my iPhone and i really don't want the pictures on there. Is there some way i can stop this from happening?
